Tim robinson

Dr. Tim Robinson is Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministries and Liaison for DTS Europe at Dallas Theological Seminary. He comes from Belfast, Northern Ireland (so listen out for his accent!), and is married to Carrie. Together they have been blessed with three children - Hannah, Abigail and Caleb.

Prior to joining the faculty of DTS, Tim served for 3 years in a para-church discipleship ministry on the picturesque North Coast of Northern Ireland, and then served for 9 years as a local church Pastor in Northern Ireland’s capital city, Belfast. During these years he enjoyed a weekly preaching ministry, led a movement of young adults called ‘Extend,’ and initiated city-wide outreach programs seeking to impact thousands of lives for Christ across Belfast.

Tim and his family have recently moved to Dallas, and as a member of the Pastoral Ministries department, his deepest desire is to not only encourage students to preach God’s word with truth, clarity, relevance, and interest, but also to see the hearts of those who hear God’s word be formed into the likeness of Christ, for the glory of God.

Ken Whitten

Dr. Ken Whitten is Ginny’s husband of 47 years; Dad to four adult children, Tara, Andy, Kimberly, and Philip, who all serve and follow Jesus; Poppy to 13 grandkids; and Senior Pastor of Idlewild Baptist Church in Lutz, Florida, since 1989. Key highlights of Pastor Ken’s 46 years in ministry include serving as the Florida Baptist Convention President, President of the SBC Pastors’ Conference, IMB Trustee, FCA National Board Member, Guidestone Board Member, Member of the Great Commission Task Force, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain, and many other local and global SBC initiatives. As the late Pastor Adrian Rogers mentored Pastor Ken, he too enjoys mentoring up and coming pastors. The strength of Pastor Ken’s ministry is Jesus and Ginny, in that order. His 33 years of ministry at Idlewild have included two campus build outs, five church plants, and a current membership of nearly 14,000. Pastor Ken is an expository Bible preacher with a busy global speaking schedule, but he is rarely out of the pulpit preaching to his flock at Idlewild.

Dr. Metzler grew up in Lancaster Co. PA and married Penny Schock in 1984. Penny’s spiritual roots were planted at the Central Manor Church and the Central Manor Camp, where she served in dining services, music ministry, and the camp bookstore.  Being married to Penny was Dr. Metzler’s introduction to the Central Manor Community and the Camp, which they attended regularly while serving as an Assistant Pastor at Central Manor Church.
